Commitment to Accessibility
Johnson County Community Health Services is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to our website.
Conformance Status
We are actively working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who are blind or have low vision, those with hearing impairments, those with motor disabilities, and those with cognitive disabilities.
Current Status — Automated Audit Complete
A technical (automated) accessibility audit of this website was completed on March 30, 2026, and evaluated against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The following issues were identified and are being addressed:
Prohibited ARIA Attributes (Serious, 6 instances on 2 pages). This is a platform-related issue within Duda, and they have been notified. Remediation will be completed by April 26, 2026
Remediation Plan — Automated Findings
All issues identified in the automated audit will be corrected by May 29, 2026 (within 60 days of the audit date).
Upcoming — Manual and Screen Reader Testing
Manual testing — including keyboard-only navigation, screen reader testing (using NVDA with Chrome), color contrast verification, and cognitive load review — will be completed by April 29, 2026.
This Accessibility Statement will be updated at that time to reflect any additional findings. Issues identified through manual testing will be remediated by June 28, 2026.
