Facts
  • Recently Expanded Hospice service into Lafayette County.

  • Organized & Implemented H1N1 flu prevention program for Johnson County during the H1N1 pandemic of 2009-2010.

  • County -wide Food Ordinance passed on 3/1/10; effective 7/1/10.

  • Award winning Home Health & Hospice Staff.

  • Accredited Public Health Department by the Missouri Institute for Community Health.

  • Food Packages for WIC Program recently updated to include fruits & vegetables.
Figures
  • Home Health & Hospice staff served over 400 patients in their homes in 2009.

  • Serve an average of over 2000 Women, Infants & Children each month through the WIC Program.

  • Public Health educated 412 participants who attended the following classes: CPR & First Aid, Childbirth Education, Food Safety Classes, OWTS Professionals Training during the calendar year.

  • Environmental staff provided 1,200 inspections of the Food, Lodging & Daycare Providers in JJohnson County during FYE09..

  • Immunized 20% of the Johnson County population with the H1N1 vaccine.

  • During 2009, Public Health staff gave 2, 475 immunizations and checked blood pressure for 1,878 people.

  • Environmental staff issued 120 Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems Permits during FYE09.
